—Written on the occasion of my 20th anniversary in the industry
Next month, I will have been in the industry for twenty years.
Looking back, these twenty years have been like a long journey, from my humble beginnings to my current steady progress, weathering storms and taking every step with caution. Along the way, there have been challenges and rewards, moments of discouragement and excitement. But one thing has remained constant—I have only done one thing, and I want to do it well: manufacturing and exporting two-wheeled electric vehicles and motorcycles.
Our original aspiration is the connection between people.
I have never considered myself merely a “product maker” or “exporter.” For me, the deeper meaning behind this career lies in the connections between people.
From domestic parts suppliers to vehicle assembly plants, to overseas importers and dealers, and ultimately to the average user, the creation and operation of each vehicle is silently supported by a vast collaborative network.
I love this process. It’s more than just a business chain; it’s a bridge, allowing me to meet friends from all over the world. We met through work, but often find mutual success and trust in our collaboration. Many of us have been together ever since our first collaboration. It wasn’t about price or luck, but because we all put our heart into it.
Heartfelt dedication is an obsession with quality.
Someone asked me, what have you been most committed to over the past twenty years?
I said it’s the word “heart.” It sounds simple, but in practice, it means making many difficult choices:
It’s not shirking responsibility or covering up when encountering unexpected problems, but doing everything we can to solve them for our customers;
It’s insisting on using the right materials and not cutting corners when facing cost pressures;
It’s polishing a detail dozens of times just to make the product ride smoother and safer;
It’s striving to achieve the best possible results even when we know our customers may not notice.
ALWAYS ON THE WAY, THERE’S ALWAYS A WAY.
We make “vehicles,” but at their core, they carry trust, safety, and the experience of every ride. I often tell my team that even the most ordinary commuter bike can be someone’s most important daily mode of transportation, and it deserves our serious attention.
Persistence is the rarest quality.
Twenty years isn’t long, but it’s not short either. This industry is changing rapidly, from motorcycles to electric vehicles, from traditional exports to branded global expansion, from simple OEM to intelligent manufacturing, each wave sweeping in.
Faced with temptation, I hesitated. Faced with difficulties, I considered retreating. But what ultimately kept me going was the satisfaction of creating value.
Customers grow their businesses and open chain stores because of our reliable models.
Suppliers expand their factories and improve their lives thanks to stable orders.
Users send me videos saying, “Your bikes are so worry-free! I ride them every day.”
These aren’t huge achievements, but they’re enough to keep me going.
Twenty years is just the beginning.
Some say that if a person can devote their whole life to doing one thing well, it’s a remarkable feat.
I wouldn’t dare say “remarkable,” but I can proudly say that I’ve done it with my whole heart.
The road ahead is still long. The industry is constantly changing, and I will continue to learn and iterate, but I always believe that true, lasting value lies not in hype but in practical action.
I will continue to be a “connector”: connecting products and markets, factories and the world, trust and collaboration, and cycling and life.
Final Note
Thank you to all my colleagues for your trust, support, and companionship over the past twenty years.
Thank you to every customer, supplier, worker, and my colleagues who have worked alongside me. Because of you, this journey is not lonely.
May we all, in our respective fields, work with heart and conduct ourselves with integrity. Even if we only do one thing for a lifetime, it will be worthwhile.
